    Have you ever looked for that ‘undiscovered’ island paradise, before it is invaded by group tours and big hotel chains? Well Phu Quoc island in Vietnam might be just what you were looking for.

    Situated in South Western Vietnam, Phu Quoc Island it’s known as the "Emerald Island" for its crystal sea, virgin forests, rare animals, birds and exotic plants. Freedomland is located in north west, Ong Lang, the most breathtaking site of the island.

Getting there

     Access is by air or sea.

     Phu Quoc is accessible by air from Saigon in 50 minutes. Vietnam Airlines offers from five to nine daily flights. The airfare is US$90 round trip ( June 2009 ). Freedomland is sufficiently close to the airport ( 15 minutes by motorbike, 25 by car).

     We can send you a taxi with meter to pick you up, just let us know your time of arrival and where.

     If you take a taxi by yourself, tell the driver to bring you to Tang Loi Resort, and on the way you'll see orange signs pointing to Freedomland (it's new and drivers don't know it yet!).

     The public bus is around 30.000vnd/person The taxi from airport to us is about 120.000vnd and from the boat is about 270.000vnd.

     For those traveling through the Mekong Delta, a good option is to fly to Phu Quoc from Rach Gia. The fare is US$25 one way. There is a morning flight daily. Alternatively, there are now frequent boat services (2 hour trip) from Rach Gia, to Phu Quoc’s southern town of An Thoi (45 minutes from Freedomland). Fare at US$13 one way.
