    Have you ever looked for that ‘undiscovered’ island paradise, before it is invaded by group tours and big hotel chains? Well Phu Quoc island in Vietnam might be just what you were looking for.

    Situated in South Western Vietnam, Phu Quoc Island it’s known as the "Emerald Island" for its crystal sea, virgin forests, rare animals, birds and exotic plants. Freedomland is located in north west, Ong Lang area, the most breathtaking site of the island. We are in the countryside, 12 minutes walk to the beach.

Getting there

     Access to the island is by air or sea.

    There are flights available from various vietnamese locations. Tickets can be obtained from VietnamAirlines and AirMekong. The Phu Quoc airport is located in Duong Dong town, 8 km away from freedomland (about 20 minutes drive).

 

Boats are available from Rach Gia (2h30 trip) and Ha Tien (1h30 trip) close to the Cambodian border. This services are sometimes cancelled due to bad weather specially during the rainy season (July to October). The boat piers are about 45 minutes away from Freedomland.

Pick up service and transportation advice.
     We can send you a taxi with meter to pick you up, just let us know your time of arrival and where. you do not need to bargain, the car taxis here have reliable meter (really!!) :) We can also arrange you a reliable moto-taxi if you're travelling alone and light.

     If you take a taxi by yourself, tell the driver to bring you to Freedomland on Ong Lang and if he doesn't know tell him to bring you to Thang Loi Resort, and on the way you'll see orange signs pointing to Freedomland.

    

Beware with some drivers (moto-taxis and mini vans), they will bring you to hotels where they get commissions, it's not so much fun! and it turns expensive...
